GRW Meeting Announcement

The Goochland Republican Women (GRW) will hold their first monthly meeting of the new year on Friday January 8, 10 – noon, at the Manakin Firehouse (Rt. #6). All members of the Goochland Republican Committee are invited and welcome to join-in for an inspiring, informative and engaging agenda, including:

Meet the Patriots!: Ms. Jamie Radtke, President, Richmond Tea Party and Chairwoman, Virginia Tea Party Patriots, guest speaker. Jamie will share the ‘why, what and how’ of this national, state and local movement that is sweeping the country and spreading the message that government has grown too big, spends too much and no longer listens to the people. Comprised of ordinary citizens who will be silent no more, the Tea Party is aggressively acting to create change — including a legislative agenda in VA that addresses healthcare, tort reform, and upholding and protecting the 10th Amendment of the Constitution — in sum, the Rights of the People! (10:15 — 11:00, including Q&A) (Please see links below to learn more about the Tea Party.)

(11:00 — 11:30)

GRW Member Conversation Forum: ‘What’s On GRW Minds?’ is a new meeting feature this year. Following the speaker and business agenda items, GRW will have a 30 minute member discussion forum on current ‘issues of the day.’ For this first forum, GRW will follow-on from its November Member Meeting and County Administrator Rebecca Dickson’s presentation on the Goochland County budget challenges. (11:30 — Noon).

We hope you’ll join GRW for tea, a conversation with the Tea Party, and interesting conversation!
