GOOCHLAND REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE MASS MEETING SET
March 13, 2009
GOOCHLAND — The Goochland Republican Committee has issued a call for a mass meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Manakin Company 1 fire-rescue station located at 180 River Road West in Manakin.
The meeting, which is open to all, regardless of party affiliation, will elect delegates for the Republican Party of Virginia State Convention to be held in Richmond on May 29-30, 2009. Delegates to the State Convention will select candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. Those elected as delegates do not have to be members of the Committee.
“All functions of The Goochland Republican Committee are open to everyone,” said Ben Slone, committee chairman. “We believe that our ideas have universal appeal and we welcome to opportunity to share them with people of all political inclinations.”
Registration for the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. on March 26. The official call and early registration form can be found online by visiting the Goochland Republican Committee website at www.GoochlandGOP.com. For those not in attendance on March 26, registration forms and a voluntary contribution of $25 must be received by Slone no later than 8 p.m. on March 25, 2009.
